About Us

Hi Everyone!

Edward seems to have a gift of making friends, as you will see if you visit his stunning Facebook group.  Before we knew it, the group became too big to allow us to send everyone regular messages and we rely on everyone revisiting that site and this to keep in touch.
It would be a never-ending task to thank everyone, so we’ve picked out a handful of incredible people who helped to start this campaign with the Never Say Goodbye track and the amazing video.  All the proceeds from the sale of the track have been donated to Action Duchenne but the real legacy is how it’s kick-started a genuinely global campaign of awareness.

When we started planning the campaign back in 2007, most people we spoke to had never heard of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and our clear priority was to change that – once and for all.

Rich Clayton
Rich is the last person who’d want to appear on this page but popular opinion suggests he should be given a special mention.  Based normally in LA, he devoted a huge chunk of his time to this campaign and organized an incredible team from a raw assortment of volunteers.  Rich’s personal energy and media savvy skills have to be seen to be believed and his commitment to helping Edward has been awesome. We have high expectations for the continuing success of campaign objectives, for many years to come. We will never forget that our momentum is so very much due to Rich Clayton.  (Completely crazy guy that he is.)

After meeting Edward little over a year ago, Shane was taken with the strength and love displayed by Edward and his family and was compelled to help, and so started out on this undertaking with vigour and gusto. His enthusiasm was infectious, as he brought together some of his close friends to help out, saying "It seemed like such a little thing to help out such a lovely family and such a deserving cause, but seeing what we have achieved with little more than our drive and some elbow grease is nothing short of amazing. I just really hope that we can bring enough attention - and funds! - to the cause so we can help out all those affected by Duchenne." Shane lives in Pudsey with his wife and two little girls.
